Hey guys,
New to the forum so hope this is the right place to post. My oil need topping up but i am unsure what grade i need and i also know most brands have a set specification. Does anyone know what oil grade and spec is needed for the new 2017 c3 1.2 petrol, alot of parts website saw OW-30/40 but i never trust these soley? Thankyou

HiThe new oil TOTAL QUARTZ INEO FIRST 0W30 (amazon link) is the product recommended by CITROËN for reducing fuel consumption and CO2 / pollutant and emissions.
Yes, you are right to there to being more to oil than the viscosity you mention. The viscosity is chosen for the country you live in for it cold starting or hot country use. The other features of an oil are in the small writing on the container.
You are looking for at least ACEA C2 for topping up, the total linked to above exceeds the ACEA C2 level of protection.
These are the viscosity ratings. Cold is particularly useful for starting.
