Have changed thermostat and bled the system via the 2 bleed screws but still only shows 1 or 2 bars lit up on the temp guage and the heater only blows warm air not hot. Any ideas ?

Was there a problem before you changed the thermostat?
Have you bled all the air out after you filled it using a header tank, as shown in this Citroen C3 Coolant topic?

Hi. I changed the thermostat in case it was stuck open but has made no difference. Have now plugged a obd reader in and the temp gets up to 90 degrees but the heater is still luke warm. I have bled the system but not using the header tank method as shown. Will have to try that. Maybe the heater matrix is blocked and needs a flush out as when I turn the heater blower on its initially hot but then goes to warm.

Hi, did you manage to flush the heater matrix and get the heater working again?

Not had a chance to do it yet. I don't think it's that though. The gauge still only shows 1 bar lit up as if the thermostat is open all the time.

Are the hoses to and from the radiator getting hot?
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

Hoses are hot so I have put cleaner in the system to see if that helps.
