I have just purchased a Citroen C3 2002 1.4 petrol. I was wondering do I have a trip computer? I can't find it anywhere in the manual, and have tried pressed the buttons on the end of the sticks and on the dash but I'm not sure what I'm doing. Help????

Welcome to the forum Staceywinspear,
Early models of the C3 didn't have a trip computer. The trip computer is activated by pressing the button on the end of right hand stalk (indicated with an arrow). If you don't have the arrow, or have radio controls on the end of the stalk, I think its safe to say you don't have a trip computer.
Later models of the same shape you have did have a trip computer.
C3CAR has a (currently unfinished project) post on upgrading the older cars to enable the trip computer functionality.
Its only in early stages and no use to you yet, but who knows in a few years, it may get finished

This is what the remote radio control on the stalk looks like
COM2000.
If you have this stalk (with the arrow) then pressing the button should cycle through the options for the trip computer. (assuming you have a display capable of showing the information)
If you have this stalk (without an arrow) there is no trip computer functions
Which stalk do you have?
The white arrow points to the the radio buttons (see below)
If you have these, they should control the radio. If they don't control the radio, you may have a non citroen factory radio fitted or a fault with the If you have this stalk (with the arrow) then pressing the button should cycle through the options for the trip computer. If you have the correct stalk for trip computer and radio controls, do you have the original radio fitted?
The radio is the interface to the computer from the stalk controls, if its been changed and no interface fitted, the trip computer doesn't work. Ours was like this when it came, I fitted a Connect2 interface for the stalk controls to the radio which also has an extra little box on the loom, the trip computer is now working.
To know for definite if the trip computer is fitted on your car, you can look up the chassis number on Lexia and it will list everything that the car was made with, it tells you things like number of keys, whether it had rear head rests, all sorts of fascinating stuff.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried
