I have a 2009 C3 Picasso 1.4 VTi (95 Hp) I need to change the thermostat house. What is the torque spec for the thermostat housing/valve in one? I saw some video with 207 which have the same EP3 engine it say 13nm. Some people say its 20nm but mine is all plastic thermostat housing it might crack if tightening too much. Thanks in advance

Hi

Does yours have the metal inserts in the bolt holes?
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

If the metal inset is present, I would go with the 20nm unless anything on the included instructions contradicts that, then go with what the instruction leaflet in the box says.

Received the thermostat it does have metal ring in it, I attached a photo. How ever there is another problem. The temperature sensor is now on the front toward the bottom. The existing is on the top. I wonder did they suggest the wrong part or the design has changed and i need a different cable to reach down?

Hello

I would confirm with the vendor you have the correct part. Use the vehicle VIN to use as the confirmation.

Are you sure it is not just 'up side down'

Can you tell us the the 6th, 7th, and 8th characters in your VIN. This will tell us what engine you have.

Edit: looks like they gave you one for a BMW (mini) engine instead of the PSA (Citroen) engine (or vice versa). Or perhaps another version of the engine altogether.
From my research one version has the temp probe on the top and one has the temp probe on the back. The give away is where the coolant bleeder valve is. It's always on the top.
Just my opinion but I don't like the look of those swaged eyelets. They should have roll pins in the mounting holes. The swaged eyelets would allow the mounting hardware to be over tightened and crack the plastic.
Sorry, but I would suggest you return it ASAP. Something is not right.
