I have a problem where the car will start just as easily as normal, but the engine revs at 2000 rpm and the engine management light is on. If you put your foot on the accelerator it will rev up to 3000 rpm maximum.
It's been into a garage and they replaced the throttle body with a brand new one but the fault still exists.

The garage say they have checked the wiring but found that a 5 volt feed is missing from one of the ecu pins.

Past experience of Citroen electronics suggest that a missing feed can be red herring. I had a C8 that had missing voltage from the ECU but it turned out to be a broken wire feeding a signal in.

Does anybody have a copy of the wiring diagram to cover the throttle position sensor, throttle body and ecu?

Read and clear your own codes can be a help, use one of these cheap tools to avoid garage bills for diagnostic reads.

I can have a look for you, but please tell me exactly which ECU you have and which engine.

There is a topic here that covers the faulty plug and socket on the throttle pedal sensor to ECU wiring here (with pictures).

Try the connection on the map sensor. A fault here caused my idle speed to increase.
