Hi
Got a problem with the Car
I accelerated from the lights very slowly though. Got to 4th and pushed pedal down but no power coughing and spluttering then 3rd 2nd and its lost more power on acceleration. Luck I was just pulling into drive. Thought to pull out drive and get petrol as it was on 65 miles left no petrol light though. 137 miles in tank now.
after walk to petrol garage. I could not even get the car to stay started and reverse in conked out.
Possible crap from the tank seems like some fuel starvation I think. Does anyone know what to check how to check and a diag maybe.
I have not Haynes atm. Used to working on my Range Rover not a tiny engine like that. Bit of a head scratch.
I have been trying to pump the crap through ,,,, provided that that's the problem ... went from .5 then 1 then 2 on the rev counter but took 40 minutes coughing and spluttering with loss of the rev power so to speak. Then back to 1 on the rev counter with the same so not really getting anywhere. Feul filter or something?
Lost
Anyone that can shine the light
Cheers
Rich

Hi richhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
There is often a fuel filter in the tank that is a 'for life' item. Not a changeable service item. The pump and filter are on the fuel level unit in the petrol tank and look like this.
The Citroen C3 petrol 1.4 fuel pump unit on Euro Car Parts. Its found under the rear seat.
If its as you think, a fuel supply problem, this may be the place to go and hopefully its not go to the injectors yet.
OBD2 to read code to make sure the sensors are ok, use one of these OBD readers on a 2007 Petrol C3(eBay link).richhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wrote: Does anyone know what to check how to check and a diag maybe.
To where? I hope you are not pumping it into the injectors....richhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wrote:I have been trying to pump the crap through ,,,,

I fixed the OBD reader link in my first reply, if you don't have one of these it can be worth getting one to look codes.richhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wrote:Thinking now Coil Pack Plugs maybe

A few more details are required.
How far did you travel up to the problem showing up.
When you last filled up did you fill to the top.
Have you removed the air filter box of late.
I have had similar problems only more related to cold running.
