Hi I have a 2002 citroen 1.4 c3 sx when driving the temperature gauge shows 2 lights and then will go to 3 lights and after 10minutes it goes straight to the red,I pull the car over and turn off,when I lift the bonnet the fan is not moving,but when start the car again the temperature gauge is back to 2 lights,could it be the thereof state not opening,or could it be a nackered temperature switch there is power to the fan,am getting to frightened to drive the car incase it does any damage,does anybody no how to fix the problem please....

This has come up a few times,
Citroen C3 engine overheating and temperature warning lights
and the suggestion is to change the temperature sensor / sender as this has caused these problems in the past.
The Diesel and Petrol models have different engines and therefore different temperature sensors, unfortunately you posted in the Questions about a citroen C3 not related to the fuel type so I can't point you in the right direction for the cost of the parts
