Ok the wifes Citroen C3 1.4i 5 speed Pluriel the gear changers or a little stiff in all gears, it all drives ok but just the gear shift is stiff.
Was wondering what would be the first things to check and wonder if anyone else has had the same problem and what solved it.

Hi craigh
Is there any difference if you change gear with the car stationary, engine off and the clutch pedal pressed down?

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

No difference really when the car is stationary and engine off, gear change still seems stiff.Missing Lincs wrote:Hi craigh

Its possible to disconnect the gear selector cables from the gear box. You could disconnect them and see how the stick moves. If its still stiff then its not down to the gear box and the cables comes as a complete unit.
Maybe the gears are like that on all the C3s? Do you have another C3 to compare it with?
