Hi John

Which engine on which year?

If you look at my signature, below, it links to a page where you can enter your C3s details so it shows up on the left hand margin :)
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

All the timing marks and locking pin holes are on the cambelt side of the engine. No need to lock the flywheel.

Hi all
It mentions locking the flywheel and cam belt wheel
To prevent movement when changing the timing belt,
But I can not locate the locking location on the flywheel ?
Also I was trying to find out how many teeth have slipped to determine possible damage to valves

John

From what I can see, it looks like the flywheel locking point is accessible by poking a bar through one of the holes arrowed in the picture.

It looks like the holes are designed to align when the flywheel is in the correct rotation for a cam belt change.

You don't need Arfur's signature if your details are correct

They are listed as
Year: 2003 (53)
Engine Size: 1.4 (8v)
Fuel Type: Petrol

So, you can use the image (above and below) that has arrows showing the flywheel locking point on the C3 petrol engine

Wow Arfur has really gone to town!

Its hiding behind the oil filter. To pin it you will need a 6mm pin.
Here are some tips on changing the belt:
