powered steering gone, need to know which fuse to check

Hi all,my c3 today lost its powered steering.does anyone know the location of the fuse for the steering,as i dont have the manual for my c3

Hi paddywak

There are two fuses involved in the power steering, one maxi fuse and one in the engine bay fusebox (BSM).
I don't know which year car you have, so you can look through the links to find the ones that match your year and model C3.

i dont have the manual for my c3
The manual wouldn't help with the maxi fuses anyway.

Thanks a lot for that,its seems to be the number 7 fuse in the maxi box under the engine bay fuse box.Brilliant thanks will try and do that tomorrow. :)

The Citroen C3 EPAS - Electronic Power Assisted Steering can give up working on a fault condition and reset itself with an ignition off.

If ignition off doesn't fix it, disconnect the battery for a while.

You may find the electronic power steering starts working again after because it has been reset.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

If you cant find any other reason why the power steering has given up, it may be your battery.
Despite the battery starting the car and everything seeming to be OK it could be on the way out. If it's about, or more than 4 years old, consider replacing it. In the least get it "load tested" at your local garage, if you are suspicious of it.
