Hello paullap,

Reading through the net and I just found your topic. I know it's a long time ago, but I'm really interested to know what's happen and how the story ends?
I have the same fault codes P1634 & P2101 and the car runs in emergency mode.

Hi Mate, Before you do anything, disconnect the battery, and then take the ecu connectors off and make sure you dont have any water inside the plug holes and any green corroded pins, I have had this so many times, Let me know how you get on.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I've removed the connectors, there was no water. I've reassembled them and voila - both fault codes become temporary, so I was able to remove them. Then the car just started to run really smooth.

For now I will trace up the problem for few days, to see whether the codes will return.

Is this the same way you solved the issue?

Hi ayhan4ik

There is a tips topic on Improving the C3 poor ECU plug connections and conductivity that may be of use if you are having faults that clear just by unplugging the connectors.

P1634 Ignition 1 Power Circuit Low Voltage

Faulty Ignition Control Module (Engine ECU)
Power harness is open or shorted
Power circuit poor electrical connection

and

P2101

Can be the throttle pedal connector issue covered in P2101 Fix by 'Delete the connector' but also throttle body plug.

Great support! Thanks. No issues since two days, after wiggle-jiggle the connectors of ECU.
Probably the best will be to clean up everything and increase conductivity. I will give it a try this weekend if the weather is good.
