My C3 when idling suddenly overheats according to the lighting gauge on the dash, It gos from 3 lights to 6 and bleeps in an instant, however, it has coolant in it, it runs perfectly, and if I turn the heating on full within 5 seconnds it returns to the 3 lights temp. Also if I switch it off and on again it is fine, i just dont know what is causing it to appear to be overheating.

Interesting that the gauge responds to the variation that the heater makes to the cooling system.

If the system is not filled correctly after a coolant change air locks can affect the flow of coolant around the engine.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)
