Hello marilu
Its an intriguing problem you have. My first thoughts are the oil filter has been fitted incorrectly/wrong filter/or something along those lines. I would check the filter is correct.
The C3 Oil Filter (petrol engines)
The other check I would make is the correct quantity of oil as been filled, check the dip-stick and the dashboard display
The 10w40 / 5w30 isn't going to make any difference on such a low mileage (low KMs) car.
Trouble with getting someone else to do the work, is you never know what they have or have not done correctly.

It does sound a little bit like a pump problem, but only after checking the filter, oil level and every thing else first as the pump should be fine for 100 000 miles plus.at the end they said it could be the pump.

Thank you ever so much for you kind reply! I will do all the checks you suggested and let's hope it is nothing major. What really baffles me is that the car was fine until the servicing; now, if it is the pump, how did it happen so suddenly? Surely there would have been warning signs if the pump was not working properly. Oh, before I forget, could it be that the idle speed is too low?
Gosh, this thing is driving me mad
Thanks again for your response...I do appreciate it! I will let you know what happens.
