Hi all,
New to this forum as are looking for help to fix my neighbours 2004 Citroen C3 manual 1.4 Pluriel.
All shes told me is, she was driving home on Saturday with it, then tried to start it yesterday and nothing. All thats coming up is the "Eco Mode" on dash display. I tried turning the key today and just get a clicking sound. Even checked the battery and its showing 12.7 volts.
Does anyone know what the fault could be?
Is it worth buying a diagnostic reader to see if any fault codes are brought up?
Thanks in advance. Russ
Not starting. Turning the key, just get a clicking sound

Hi djruss63 the pluriel engine and starting is the same as the C3, so expect the topic to be moved to the correct section at some point.djruss63 wrote:Hi all,

Click, click on starting is the solenoid clicking. You could have a poor connection to the battery, a poor battery or a bad starter motor.
A good voltage would suggest a good battery.
Eco mode will clear when the engine starts.
There will be no fault codes for a click, click, click starter.

Hi djruss63
If you can do so safely, try measuring the battery voltage when you try to start the car.
If you can do so safely, try measuring the battery voltage when you try to start the car.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried
