hi

i am a CCC ( citroen car club ) member
and registered on the FCF, BX forum, Visa forum and XM forum,

i have just registered on here

as i have a customers 04 1.4 petrol C3 that has hed on going problems for probably 2 to 3 years now,

i cant get to the bottom of

i run a small repair shop but dont have much knowledge/experience on modern car diagnostics,

i do own a clone DIS-LEXIA,

which i have plunged up this C3 several times over the above period,

the original faults were it used to/does still occasionally say it is over heating, even with the engine stone cold,

i have replace both temperature sensors,

its also had two cats and lambda sensors replaced in about 3 to 4 years,

i just took it for its MOT yesterday which it passed with nout showing up on the emissions test,

the symptoms that did come to light though were, on hard full lock either way, the engine revs would drop so low it was on the verge of cutting out,

the other symptom tha happens most of the time on pulling away is, it hesitates with no go at all, then it picks up and takes of,

any help would be appreciated

regards malcolm

The C3 has electronic power steering, so I am thinking the power draw on the alternator is putting a large load on the engine. This should be compensated by the engine ECU, but isn't or can't be.

Similar sort of thing here.. Hmm..

Have you checked/changed/tested the plugs and coil pack?

Does the car have a faulty injector due to water leaking from the washer jet?

If you connect lexia up, can you grab some screen shots of the stored error codes and attach them here?
