Hello,

My wife recently bought a new C3 (1.2 Puretech 110), and the oil change intervals are 16,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first.

I know the concepts of running-in and use of synthetic oils have changed a lot of the "old thinking", but I'm still tempted to do an oil & filter change around 1,000 miles on the basis that it won't do any harm. Unless of course I don't re-fit the drain plug correctly, or do something else catastrophic that invalidates the warranty. I'd intend to use the recommended oil and factory filter, of course.

What have others done - leave it be until the first scheduled service, or "gamble" with an early oil/filter change?

Thanks in advance/Paul

I am leaving it to the first service. I had a Peugeot 208 with the same engine before this C3 and it had the same service interval and was perfectly OK.
