The plug and socket is in the passenger compartment, not the drivers one where the throttle pedal is.

Because the car is a left hand drive car, its adapted to right hand drive for the UK (amongst other countries), the loom for the pedal to the ECU terminates in the passenger foot-well and a extension cable is fitted to make it reach to the UK drivers side. Its the connection between the LHD loom and the RHD extension loom that can cause problems and throw TPS error codes.

You can also see the LHD/RHD adaptation in the brake pedal to brake master cylinder metal bar, its not ideal and caused a recall for the C3 Picasso model.

Yeah i know about the plug behind the passenger glove box and removed it and soldered the wires together. I also then thought the pedal plug may be duff so removed that one too and replaced with one from the scrap yard.

If something stops working after you touched it, odds on, its going to be very close or closely connected to the part that got touched.

Taking the head off does disturb most of the parts on the top of the engine, so if you have a fault after reassembly it would be reasonable to suspect any of the parts that got disturbed.

Hopefully with some close inspection you will see the problem :)

** UPDATE **

Removed and replaced the throttle body plug and don't seem to see any difference :(

Dunno if it will need a little time to settle itself in or anything but have the lambda sensor to fit in the next hour so will see how that goes :(
