Hi Today my car dashboard had a message saying engine management and then a solid serv light on the dash. I checked with my obd 2 scanner cleared codes driving seems normal but the serv light is still there, there is no engine management light any ideas what this issue is?

SERVICE
This warning lamp remains on for a serious fault. Consult a CITROËN dealer as soon as possible.
This warning lamp remains on only for a short time for faults that are minor. Contact a CITROËN dealer if necessary.
To learn the origin of the corresponding alert, refer to the log of alerts (See chapter “Displays A and C” to chapter “Multifunction display"
2006 to 2009 C3 models have these dashboard warning lights

Apparently you can find the reason for SERV in the menus.

Anything in there?

With no codes in the OBD2 I would drive it around for a while longer and see if the serv light goes out. If it doesn't then hook it up to lexia tool to see what codes you have that are beyond OBD2.

Are you referring to the menu on the car or the obd2 sensor?

Hi it is a quote from the C3 user manual for the 2006 to 2009 car.

OBD2 readers only scan for a very limited number of faults. Lexia clone will do them all. I don't know how many the car menu will tell you, but it straight from Citroen owners handbook.

So went to the garage to check with there professional obd2 scanner and got code for pedal position sensor. Now I'm not sure if my c3 has just a wire for the pedal sensor or the actual pedal itself with the sensor, does anyone know which one I would need?

The 1.4 is an electronic pedal. The same pedal is used across all the 1.4 and 1.6 from 2002 to 2009 petrol or diesel.

Whether yours is a 2002 as you say or a 2006 as you say, they are all the same.

There is some further information about the Citroen C3 throttle pedal assembly here.
