hey guys i am new to this forum but am having a bit of trouble with my citroen and wondered if anyone has had any similar problems,
after a half hour drive i parked my car realizing i was out of the lines slightly (dogdey parking :) ) i started my car again only for it to be making a loud overheating sound almost like the car was being over revved but i was stationary,
the words Engine Management System flashed up on the little screen followed by the words Faulty,
panicking as females do i checked oil radiator coolent etc which were all fine, however engine was really hot !!
i started the car half hour later and the overheating revving sound had gone but engine management system still flashed up aswell as my service light, i took it for serveral runs around the block only for the service light to turn off and things to go back to normal !!
now am i going completely mad or is this not right !!!!
my car has only done 30,000 miles and had a new cam belt fitted last month with no problems untill now !!
any replys i would be extremly grateful !!!
Thanks
:D

This is not right. It shouldn't do this.

The error that brought up the 'Engine Management System - Faulty' would have been stored in the onboard computer. You can read the codes stored with a lexia system or even a much cheaper OBD Reader from eBay. With the errors that have been stored an idea on what happened and what can be done to stop it happening again can be formed.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)
