Hi all
I have a c3 1.4 58000 on clock but can not get above 3000 revs on it

Could be fuel or air. Best to read the codes so you can get a better idea of where to look first.
Have a look at this link for a cheap OBD2 reader for C3.

Hi I v'e got one of those testers engine now seems fine but engine management light on,so tested it the fault has come up as P1161 now trying to find what that fault code is

Have a look at code P1161

This is mentioned for P1161 on the C3
It may be necessary to replace the multi connector on the motorised throttle unit and delete the connector under the glove box, where the manufacturer has adapted from left hand drive.

Sorry yes I started with the multi connector then ECU,connectors and cleaned them up,everything is fine hope it works for everybody else.
