Hi, I have an 02 plate C3 1.4 Petrol.
I cannot find the location of the crank shaft sensor, so I've came here in search of some help??
Basically, my car has been juddering while in 1st/2nd gear and is bumpy while idling.
Diagnostics told me Crank / Ram Sensor, Range / Performance
So just wondering if anyone can help me locate the crank.
Thanks,
Ryan.
Location of crank shaft sensor? Pls help!

This is the C3 petrol crank sensor out of the car, and you can find it on the front of the clutch bell housing.Diagnostics told me Crank / Ram Sensor, Range / Performance
So just wondering if anyone can help me locate the crank.
I don't currently have a picture of the sensor in place, if you can take one of your own, that would help others too.

Hello, thanks for your prompt response.
If I take a picture with the bonnet up would you be able to point me in the right direction? I'm no mechanic, I have no idea!
Thanks again

If you stand with the bonnet up, facing the engine the sensor will be on the right.
You will need to remove some of the plastic pipes and air cleaner box to get a good view, but the clutch bell housing is the big aluminium bell shaped attachment on the right of the engine.
Look on the front of that for the sensor in the link.
The crank angle sensor is number 8

If you get the opportunity to take pictures and write some words along the lines of 'what I needed to remove to change the crank sensor', that would be great!
Good Luck!
