Hi All
Ive got a bit of a mystery on our C3 1.4 2003 car that im having trouble solving, about a month a go i tried to start our car and all it did was turn over, no lights, beeps, alarms or anything out of the ordinary, just turning over, i walked away swearing, 20 minutes later the wife walked up and it started 1st time :?: , every thing is fine until last week where it did the exact same thing....today yet again except the neighbor noticed the hazards flash while the car was turning over, now i don't know how many times or if only once but there you go..10 minutes later turned over once and fired up as normal...so im at a loss, thought it might be rain getting in and messing around with the electrics but as the weather has been spot on for so long thats ruled that out....any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
Wayne

Could it be that the key you are using has lost( or losing ) its ' code '...does the wife use the same key as you??, as most carkeys are chipped for the ecu & imobbilisor these days and it won't start if the key code isn't there...

Immobiliser would be a good place to look. As said above, could be as simple as a failing key transponder.

Ideally you need someone with Lexia diagnostics to have a look.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried
