IGNITION NOT WORKIG! HELP!

2003, 120,000 miles, fully serviced, petrol,

Recently my car has not been starting- the engine turns over but doesn't actually start quite often. The battery is fully charged, car up to date with the servicing etc.Today it wouldn't start for about 20 minutes, but it did start when I pressed the accelerator pedal whilst turning it on, and then had no problems starting 3 more times that day without doing that.I am meant to be driving 400 miles tomorrow and wondered if anyone had any advice of what I could do/ whether anyone has experienced the same problems? I really don't want that to happen miles from anywhere. It has done this a few times before in some really inappropriate places (often if it happens to stall) and I'm juts a bit worried about driving too far in it? I would appreciate any possible advice!

You have an engine fault if it just stalls, often.


It could be immobiliser, in that case, try the other key.

If its an engine fault, read the codes with an OBD reader (currently discounted here on Amazon) to get an idea where to start looking.
