Hi Guys,
My friends C3 has had poor power for a while, no miss firing or smoke etc.
I was giving it a once over and spotted the "Mayonaise" on the inside of the oil cap.
Is there any common issues, head gasket, cylinder hed or other things tht can cause these issues?

I would check for any OBD codes stored, use a cheap OBD2 reader like one of these as poor power is not often the head gasket on these engines.the_big_1 wrote:Hi Guys,

You can sometimes get a small quantity of mayo on the oil filler cap just through condensation so it not a test for head gasket failure itself. But you can get a kit to test for head gasket failure (combustion gasses in the coolant) here (on eBay) well worth testing before removing the head.

watch out if your water bottle is losing water fast and you get overheat, the water may be mixing with oil inside the motor and you will need to fix motor joints!
