My car won't idle properly and switches off when I need to Stop.
I need to rev it just to keep it from stalling.
The Fuel Injector no.3 was replaced a few months ago when the same problem occured
I want to know how to I check if my fuel injector is faulty/dirty/worn?
Where is it located? As I don't want to pay for a new 1 the current ones may just be dirty.
Will Fuel Injector cleaner help with such a problem?
Please Help

Hi CarlJaftha
You could start by reading the error codes with this tool (ebay) to see if the ECU is detecting an injector fault or some other fault if you wanted to do some diagnostics first.
Interestingly there is an old fault on early petrol models where the washer jet fluid drips onto one of the injectors to cause a corroded electrical connector, find out about this 'Leaking washer jets causes damage to fuel injector on the C3' topic.
Substitution would be a way to test. Fit new injectors to see if the problem goes away for worn injectors. If you think they are dirty, a good double dose of injector cleaner (amazon) may yield result that could identify the injectors were just dirty. The injectors are relatively cheap and are designed to be replaced when they get worn, have a look in these listings for new C3 injectors.CarlJaftha wrote:I want to know how to I check if my fuel injector is faulty/dirty/worn?

There are 4 injectors - one for each cylinder. If you want to be removing injectors yourself, I highly recommend getting a copy of the C3 Haynes manual on amazon which will show you where they are and how to remove them.CarlJaftha wrote:Where is it located?
That would depend on whether you problem is due to dirty injectors. It may be, it may not be, but using some injector cleaner can rule in or rule out that as a fault so can be well worth a try.CarlJaftha wrote:Will Fuel Injector cleaner help with such a problem?

Hi CarlJaftha
If you end up changing/removing injectors I would recommend that you also change the seals.
Even if you only replace one injector I would change all the seals. You can re-use them but for the few pence involved it can save time and also potential a leaky seal which isn't good!

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried
