Petrol injector - move to petrol engine section

If the engine light is on and its misfiring you could well do some damage to the cat.

How do you know its an injector?

You can find out a bit more on why the 'check engine light' is on by connecting a cheap to buy OBD2 scanner to the diagnostic port. Until you know for sure why it is on, you can easily do more damage to the engine without knowing it.
