What would cause sporadic hunting after the auto choke has disengaged, it doesn't happen all the time and usually stops for a while with a quick blip of the accelerator

I would suggest a throttle body problem.jaspa wrote:What would cause sporadic hunting after the auto choke has disengaged, it doesn't happen all the time and usually stops for a while with a quick blip of the accelerator
I would read some codes before digging too deep, using either Lexia or an available OBD reader to see what the ECU thinks is wrong.

You can get one very cheaply by clicking the link that C3driver52 posted for you:jaspa wrote:thanks, i'll look into getting hold of one from somewhere, from other posts i've read they're fairly reasonably priced

You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel

If you have the bypass type of choke you can get an air leak on the fast idle motor. You need to take the plunger out of the motor body and see if there is any dirt inside, if so fit a new o ring, after cleaning. The air leak creates a false choke setting be it a minor one.
