Engine won't rev over 2000 rpm

I think I'll stick around on the forum, if only to know which problems I'm gonna be avoiding in the future ;)

I forgot to ask the mechanic which codes were showing, and they are not on the quote of work unfortunately.

As to the sensor, I guess they were referring to one relating to the throttle body/intake (if there is one related to that).

They said that when they were testing whether the new throttle body fixed it, the radiator blew a leak so they never managed to confirm whether it was the throttle body or not.

Sorry, I do not have any more info on the matter.

Oh, so you didn't get the engine running properly? You don't know if what the mechanics did fixed the engine problems?

The sensor in the inlet manifold is the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. This determines (indirectly) how much air is going into the engine. I don't know too much about failure modes of the MAP sensor so I cant confirm or deny if that could be your problem.
