I have a c3 pluriel 04 and after driving for 30 minutes the temperature shoots up to red and the fan cuts in but the engine is not hot. I have had the sensor changed but it is still happening - any ideas

There are quite probably 2 sensors, which one got changed? (and why?)

Can you give some information about the engine fitted, or anything that can identify the engine fitted to your?

A picture of your car would be nice too :)
