My 1.4 Semi Auto petrol has a tick over problem, it looses it's engine speed and slowly reduces until eventually stalling. It also happens when the engine speed reduces quickly after braking to a stop.
it has a fault code saying the Catalytic convertor is below efficiency.
Any suggestions to resolve this would be appreciated

Hi csiadi

If the cat is damaged (blocked) do think it could affect the running of the engine?

Can you clear the code and see if it stays gone.

Can you read the code again and get the 'P' error code for it as this is helpful.

Was there only one code present?

Hi Thanks for replying I have since putting 4 new plugs in and then finding that did nothing replaced the coil pack, it ran great then after 45 mins to an hour it showed the engine light again and started stalling especially if braking to a stop. I got an Obd reader and it shows fault number P0059 saying HO2S HEATER Resistance (Bank 2 Sensor1)
