My wifes car is a 2017 C3 Flair auto.
Last week she told me via flustered phone call the dispaly screen was showing "engine needs repair".
I asked what other info was showing regards warning lights or icons and was told ,NONE?
So i got home and read the owners manual to find no mention at all regards the screens warning.

So i rang the dealer and explained this and was told that unless a light on the cluster was illuminated a diagnostic will not show a fault. I was told it was most likely a glitch.
I as done the same today. I rang a diffrent dealer as was told pretty much the same. If car runs the same and no warning lights are on,ignore the screen.
I was told i can book for a diagnostic test for £85 BUT chances are high no fault was logged!
As anyone had the same issue OR advice on what to do?
thanks

Hi

Is the orange spanner on the dash illuminated?

'NONE' is generic response that usually means, 'I didn't notice any', so its best to check again for the spanner.

It isn't mentioned specially in the manual but it does hint to it and it has also cropped up here in the forum.

Unfortunately it's a generic error and needs a obd read to dig deeper.

Since two Citroen garages don't seem bothered, I wouldn't worry about it.

For peace of mind you could:
Connect up a cheap obd2 reader to scan for engine codes yourself and avoid the £85 charge.
