engine misfire lack of powerIf anyone read my earlier topic about the ANTI POLLUTION FAULT flashing up on the dashboard and the EML illuminated, things have now changed,i took the car for a run and the engine started to misfire at 3000 REVS...also at idle, the mileage trip was showing 158 miles on fuel remaining, and this then changed to 114 miles remaining in less than 5 minutes.Has anyone got any ideas why it is misfiring, just for the record the car is C3 Desire,Petrol,72000 Miles, full service,2005 model 1.4 HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

car booked in on Friday morning for a diagnostic check
This will help you with your current problem too.

Could be Coil Pack giving trouble, the diagnostics can reveal coil pack error codes along with any others.

Hi all,had the codes read yesterday and it was showing No4 fuel injector KAPUT, had it repaired, and a warning to anyone with a C3,check the window wash tube under the bonnet as this leakes and drips down onto the fuel injectors, apparently it is a major common fault . Total cost at local garage, including bulb replace and strut check, diagnostic and injector £101, Citroen dealer wanted £85 just for the diagnostic,so support your local buisness....Thanks WEG.................. :D

Improved design washer jets have Citroen part number (6438.V8 and are now available here)

Fit two of the improved misting jets in place of your current jets if your car has not yet been modified and it was made before March 2006. Cars made after March 2006 should have the upgraded parts already fitted. If you are unsure if the modification has been carried out already, its cheaper to fit 2 new jets than it is to fit 2 new injectors + diagnostics.

An upgraded washer jet to prevent injector trouble on the Citroen C3

The arrow identifies the location of the sealing ring added to the new design.

It has been suggested that a similar solution to fitting modified washer jets (6438.V8) is to seal the original unmodified jets with some silicone sealant, but the new jets are cheap to buy and less messy than silicone
