Starting my C3 this morning, the computer displayed a flashing "engine management system" with low power while driving. Thinking there is a serious problem with the car, I turned it round after driving 100 metres and now it is at home. Is it worth "limping" it to my nearest Citroen dealer, about 7 miles away? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum southampton71
It needs to be connected to at least an OBD2 reader to get the diagnostic code to diagnose the fault. They are cheap to buy and easy to use for the home 'DIY' mechanic.
OBD2 reader:
The local Citroen dealer will connect the car to a more expensive tool to do the same diagnosis with error codes, several of the forum members have one and use it to diagnose faults on their cars, not so expensive when you compare with the hourly diagnostics charge at the dealer. BUT, its requires you to learn how to install it and use it. You can find out a bit about Diagbox/Lexia here

Its serious enough that the ECU has put it into limp mode, it may be emissions - catalytic convertor or an injection fault, or something else.southampton71 wrote: Thinking there is a serious problem with the car, I turned it round after driving 100 metres and now it is at home.
Yes, if you mean drive, rather than tow.southampton71 wrote: Is it worth "limping" it to my nearest Citroen dealer, about 7 miles away? Thanks.
