I recently had the car serviced about a month ago. When I started the car yesterday, the engine management light was showing. It was idling roughly and misfiring then would die if I left the accelerator. There is petrol according to the gauge which shows one bar. What does the engine management light indicate. It is a 2003 c3 desire petrol 1.4 I. Thanks for any help.

The MIL or Engine Light on the dashboard indicates there is an engine fault. Its a generic light that means 'problem detected'.
To further diagnose the cause of the light, codes are stored in the car computer and you read the codes with one of these readers from ebay (click here) or from Amazon (here). They are very cheap to buy compared to the cost of a diagnostic read by a Citroen dealer.
