Hi Ricky25,

Message left on mobile from Citroen garage that after doing a computer check is that the car has an oil leak and the sump has to be dropped ??
Leaking sump gasket? Have a look under the car and you may be able to see the shiny oil patch on the subframe where its been leaking. Best to get his fixed otherwise you will need to keep topping up the oil and leaks only get worse.

the temp sensor assembly was replaced 15 months ago
There are often 2 temperature sensors on the 16v petrols, if I remember. One does the dashboard display and the other sends its signal to the engine ECU, which controls the cooling fan.

If you have 2 sensors and both the engine cooling fan run and the dash display shows hot, I would think you have an over heating engine, maybe the water pump is busted or there is an air-lock in the cooling system?

What prompted the change of the 'temp sensor assembly'? and who did it?

Hi C3CAR

Thanks for the reply

No visable leak from the sump that is why I am confused with the message from the garage. Going to phone them this morning

The temperature sensor was replaced as we had the same message on the dash that the engine was over heating even when cold. This was done by a different Citroen garage 15 months ago. My wife did phone them again this time but they never got back to her.

Will report back later

I took my Citroen c3 Picasso for a service. After the service I took for a wash.

On the way home coolant fan will blow very hard.
Coolant fan will keep blowing 5 minutes after car ignition is off. This is the first it happened.

Please advice.

Thanks
