The codes you are having are:

P0223 and P0228: Throttle Pedal Position Sensor problems

and

P0420 is the catalytic converter problem

I don't know if there is a link between the cat and the throttle position codes, or if you are having 2 different and unrelated errors.

I think you will need to dig a bit deeper than a general purpose OBD scanner and get it connected to a lexia type to get more indepth analysis.
But at least it give you somewhere to start. (well 2 places to start).

Hopefully someone else will know a bit more about the petrol common faults than me.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know where the Pedal Position Sensor is located.

The Throttle Pedal Position Sensor is part of the accelerator pedal assembly.
(you get to it from the drivers footwell)

The throttle potentiometer and throttle valve positioner motor are part of the throttle housing body

The Throttle Pedal Position Sensor connects to the ECU which connects to the throttle valve position motor.
Cruise control gets a bit involved too.
