Thanks C3. Took it for a quick spin tonight (2/3 miles). The temperature gauge got to 3 bars, and no higher
So, looks like all is OK! Will book it in for a service asap. Given it turned a dark brown colour when topping up, do you think it's worth asking for the coolant/anti-freeze to be flushed out and replaced with new during the service? (I assume that would be extra)

It should all be pink and you never know what else has been put in there by mistake if its the wrong colour.
Yes, it will cost more money, but it will give peace of mind come the winter freeze and will potentially do a better job of limiting corrosion in the cooling system.
