I have tried to vin code it on my car, but i couldn't do it because i had no communication error, i been reading thats is because the radio is newest than the car, in-fact I can't change anything on the radio with LEXIA, but from the screen i can change setting etc..
Your version of diagbox is probably too old to read the radio's ECU. Upgrade diagbox if you can. It's also possible that you may need the "full chip version" of LEXIA!?

Good luck!

The BSM is not coded so you can save yourself some work by keeping the original BSM and even sell on the supplied one when you don't need it.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

I have tried with different version of Diagbox, my LEXIA is full chip, i had an old one, but someone suggest the same as you, so i brought this one which is suppose to be full chip. I can vin code any RD4 with this scanner but RD45. Before send it to vin code's guy, i have been searching a lot for help, but i couldn't solve the problem... People told me that is because the ECU hasn't got this version of radio in the memory, they suggesting also to update the ECU software, which i haven't tried as i was worry that something goes wrong...with Diagbox i can see that there are only the option for 2 version of RD4 and 2 different version of screen, but not the one with the phone/Bluetooth, neither RD45, anyway the radio work ok, but some car's options are missing, not that relevant to me, I have all the main function and i can change those with LEXIA (never find the need to do, i can’t even remember which…

By reading you long story about your swapping, i do realise that i will have for sure 2 problems (or maybe more, finger cross!!) The aircon and the sunroof! The donor car hasn't got aircon or sunroof! I read that you did sort the problem by change setting, on your post you mentioned 5 PIN code in order to save the setting, do you think i will encounter the same problem been a different ECU? If so, when i will install the Kit, (i ordered it only yesterday) could you help me to find this code?
Also if you know this, i'm sure you do, you mentioned about it. Could you please tell me if is possibile to change the key electronic from the donor key to my one, so i can use my own key's blade, by doing this I don’t need to change look, petrol cap, door look etc? do I have to swap the ricever (plastic ring around the barrel) or that is just a ricever and will work whit any fop? Thank you in advance for your help, really appreciate

You can use your existing key blade with the petrol cap, ignition and drivers door but swap the remove board and immo chip (if there is one) from the donor parts.

Hi, thank you for your suggestion!
Sorry but i don't understand, do you mean the immo chip from the key fob? If so, yes that was my intention.

The key contains 3 secure parts. The blade, the remote central locking board and the IMMObilizer chip. The immobilizer chip may be a separate black piece of plastic about 10mm X 5mm. Or it might look like a bobbin of wire on the remote control circuit board.

The remote circuit board and the immobilizer chip are coded to THAT BSI. The engine ECU and the central locking will not work if they are not the correct pair.

The key blade is just a plain blade for a lock. Again it just has to match whatever lock.

I honestly don't know if the sunroof and aircon will be a problem. The BSI does play a part in the airconditioning system. The BSI supplies power to the sunroof switch LED and power to the motor. Unfortunatly I do not have the facilities to say which BSI has what functions. You will have to install it and see. The BSi's are split into a controller board and a relay/fuse board. It could be possible that the relevant relays are missing! Either way you will probably need to activate those facilities in LEXIA.
The 5 digit code is not needed all the time but its to stop people "fiddling around". If LEXIA asks you for a code, check how many characters the code needs to be first.
The code is 03114.

I think we answered that one above.

Thank you, and sorry if my posts are all over the place, still can't figure out how the portal works....Anyway for what i understood , if i do just swap my key's blade to the donor key fob, i'm done, or i can put the electronic from donor to my fob, either way will work, which save me a lot of time...

Fortunately i did contact the seller and i found out that the donor car has aircon so it will not be a issue .

My car is the Pluriel version, it has soft roof (kind of cabriolet) the roof is controlled by "roof ECU". If the donor ECU has sunroof option (which i think it has because it has same software's number) than i can enable it, and probably it will connect with this roof ECU and the ECU will do the job to control the roof, i don't know, i tray to figure out/guessing ....I will see when i will get the opportunity to install it, and i will update...

Your help is very appreciate
