- Fuel Type: Petrol
- Mileage: 40
- Gearbox: Manual 5 speed
- DPF: No
- LHD or RHD: RHD (UK)
Ran a check on the engine and the DTC code: Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected came up.
Now heres the weird part:
The engine hasn't lost power
The car is driving perfectly
There is no noise from the engine at all, There is very slight more movement but nothing too major
There seems to be no real difference.
The guy who done the reading reckons it's burnt sparks (I only changed them 6/7 months ago?), Although I have done a hell of alot of long driving EG Luxembourg - Essex - Luxembourg - London ect...
We tried resetting the code a number of times but every-time we turned the engine on it was back..
I have checked for signs of the HG going but there's no signs (Coolant is fine, oil levels good, No black smoke ect)
This is really weriding me out..

Maybe you have this fault?BillWSS wrote:So, As the header says, As I was changing my wipers I left the car on so once i had changed them i could do a little test (First time ever changing wipers as I'm on 21!) The car done a slight tick and then the engine lost a little power but came straight back up to normal, As soon as they happened the engine management light began to flash.

For anyone who doesn't know: The reason the engine was cutting out was due to the crankshaft sensor overheating (They will cut the engine as a safety mec)
another £60 down later and so far so good!
