I'm a new member but have been looking around the forum for a little while since I purchased this damn C3 for my partner.
Picked the car up, drove it fine for an hour or so, then while on the Black Country Route the EML came on and the car went in to Limp Home Mode right in the dual carriage way, pulled over and tried restarting the car but nothing wouldn't rev above 2/3 thousand revs.
So, did my best Duke of Hazard impression and jumped out he drivers seat in to the passenger seat so I could escape the onslaught of passing lorries and speeding vans! I digress, the Greenflag guy came and towed me off the carriage way and scanned the OBD to which he found the P0120 code related the the TPS circuit.
I got it home, and did a google search to find this forum amongst other sites detailing many accounts of this dreaded problem but so far I have failed to find a solution.
I have cleaned all electrical parts with a good quality contact cleaner, I've cleaned the throttle body until it looks brand new, I've tried resetting the BSI, I've replaced the throttle pedal (stupid fly-by-wire!) and replaced the throttle body itself all to no avail.
Luckily, I have a set of Lexia cables with all the software on an old XP HDD from a previous issue with a Citroen Xsara. So, I hooked the leads up and scanned everything which gave me the P0120 message, but also I found an interesting error which states a permanent error between the BSI and ECU's on the COMFORT VAN? No idea what this is or if it's the cause of the problem so hoping some nice fellow on here will be able to offer some advice.
I have attached photos of the errors from the Lexia software.
Thanks in advance, hope someone can help before I push it off a cliff!
