Distance until next service falling by more than what I drove?

Hello,

Putting this in "petrol" because I guess this system is tied to the engine, and the service intervals for petrol and diesel are different.

So I have this 152 Citroel C3, 1.2 82 bhp, about 35k km. (It was miles, but I switched it to kilometres successfully).

Slightly over two weeks ago, it was showing 7200 km to next service.

Since then I drove about 500 km by the trip computer. But it is showing 6400 km to next service.

So a phantom 300 km came out of nowhere? Or does it take days as well as driving distance into account somehow?
