Hello ,
Am turning to this forum in the hope of some assistance as a month in two local garage and over a 1000 pounds spent has failed to find a fix to the problem that I'm experiencing. I've seen a few posts on various sites about the problem but as far as I can see no one has managed to determine exactly what the problem is and what the fix is.
I have a 2008 C3 Pulriel "Kiwi". Depollution system warning lamp flashes , cannot get the revs to go above circa 2000 and shortly after she conks out. She'll start again readily enough , the display on the dash board then flashes "Auto locking" - "Plip Battery" - "Spent" - "Faulty" - "Antipollution" prior to starting the car. When I then start the car and attempt to move off , the sequence described above repeats.
Thus far I've held off going to a main agent but fear that this may be the only option left. The engine management system has been given a clean bill of health and just about every other system , fuel , air etc has been checked and also found to be fine.
Any response would be much appreciated.
Mandy.

Hi Mandy.
You should have a list of fault codes. If you don't - you can't really diagnose the problem any further.
Are they any lights on the dashboard to indicate an engine fault?
MIL:
BUT, if you do want to diagnose it yourself, I suggest you read and understand what a steep learning curve lexia is (here)
I can see where things may be going wrong. You have described symptoms of a fault and not the fault. There is no one solution to the symptoms you describe and they may be cause by more than one fault. Similar cars with similar symptoms can have different faults.Mandy Davies wrote:I've seen a few posts on various sites about the problem but as far as I can see no one has managed to determine exactly what the problem is and what the fix is.
Can you list what the garages have done and what they found?Mandy Davies wrote:Am turning to this forum in the hope of some assistance as a month in two local garage and over a 1000 pounds spent has failed to find a fix to the problem that I'm experiencing.

Well, obviously it isn't fine because you can't get above 2000 RPM.Mandy Davies wrote:The engine management system has been given a clean bill of health and just about every other system , fuel , air etc has been checked and also found to be fine.

Getting back to those codes (P codes, U codes, DTC codes - whatever you want to call them) you will need a lexia system (from here) if you want to diagnose this yourself. If not yourself, find a garage that has diagbox/lexia system to diagnose the fault(s).Mandy Davies wrote:Any response would be much appreciated.
