OK feel a bit daft here. But I have lost the top of the Expansion Water Bottle top. (Cooling System) But I can't just nip to Halfords or the like as we don't have them here. Would it be OK to use the Brake Reservoir Top until I can find a new Expansion Water Bottle top. I know the Expansion Water Bottle top has some sort of valve on it. Any advise please.

The coolant expansion cap is designed to work with high pressures and temperatures where the brake reservoir is not pressurised or heated. I would expect each to be made from different materials suited to each job.

I would also worry more about getting dirt into the braking system over the loss of some coolant or a reduced cooling capacity.

The C3 coolant expansion cap is used on several of the Citroen models so I don't think it would be difficult to get one delivered quickly from ebay, there are plenty HERE :)
