Cold Weather Engine Sputtering on startup - 1.4i Petrol

Ok for the last week since the really cold weather started - the car starts no problem but when pulling away the engine will splutter as if it is going to stall for about 5 seconds - 10 seconds and then everything is fine and drives perfect.

Anyone else had the problem or any ideas?

Could be the coil pack, and that high tension department, plugs, etc. Cold weather will bring out all the faults that are on the borderline of appearing. You can check for diagnostic codes using a cheap OBD reader from ebay which may help point you in the right direction, but if you have lexia tool use that.

Thanks had a new coil pack and plugs a few months back so it shouldn't be them.

What OBD codes do you get?
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)
