Hi guys I just took ownership of my daughters C3 SX 2002 1.4 as I'm currently investigating a problem with my Renault Clio, so the C3 is a run around at the mo.

I've noticed the clutch pedal is very high on the C3 and am thinking it's time for a clutch change? would you guys agree

The car has 90k on the clock just had a new coil pack a timing belt and new valve rods due to damage from the broken timing belt.

Due to the mileage am looking to keep costs down so any advice welcomed.

Cheers Bill

Is the clutch slipping at all? Say if ur driving at 30mph put it in 4th gear and try accelerating hard and see if it slips at all, if not I'd personally not worry about it until it does.

Good advice.

Clutches don't last for ever, but you can get a good life out of them. Its a balance of spending money unnecessarily and being stranded because the clutch has failed.

You should get more that 100K from a clutch, but if you want to find the cost of a clutch kit for your C3, follow this link to Euro Car Parts - Clutch Kits (click here) by entering your reg in the page that opens.
