I have just purchased a used Citroën c3 hdi sx, all good so far except the cental locking don't work which the previous owner pointed out before I bought it, this didn't deter me as I thought it would be a simple blown fuse problem, unfortunately this is not the case, the two keys I was given only unlock the drivers door and the fob does nothing, the button that locks the doors from the inside works OK. Please somebody who as a remedy or as had a similar problem give me some advice iv tried everything reprogramming, new fuse, new fob battery but nothing works please help

Hi fraserj1970, with such an unknown quantity of a second hand car and the cost of replacement remote keys for the C3, I wouldn't be surprised if the keys were not programmed to the car.fraserj1970 wrote:I have just purchased a used Citroën c3 hdi sx, all good so far except the cental locking don't work which the previous owner pointed out before I bought it, this didn't deter me as I thought it would be a simple blown fuse problem, unfortunately this is not the case, the two keys I was given only unlock the drivers door and the fob does nothing, the button that locks the doors from the inside works OK. This is easily the case if the BSI has been changed or the keys are not the original ones supplied with the car.
You may never get the remote working, or find the cost is beyond reach, but you first step would be to have the keys tested.
If the keys work, use Lexia tool to see if they are paired to the car and where the fault lies.

A point to remember is that you can't program any previously used remote fob on to any other BSI, that is any other BSI that was not originally paired to the remote key fob
