Hi all wife's car stopped and won't start, have checked obd2 for fault code's and came back with p0351,0352 which if ignition coil a,b ,have replaced this with a new one and it is still the same turns over but just will not start as though no spark at plugs, all fuses ok ,central locking works fine just don't know where to look now. Have read post it may be the bsi but just won't to check first

It's worth checking the fuses before doing anything drastic.

Have checked fuses and all seem ok, wife said car started then stopped, started after 15mins then stopped and it would not start, all it seems to do is turn over but not fire, fuel pump seems to run when key is turned so that rules pump out.

I guess that rules out a cam belt failurekeithusb1 wrote:wife said car started then stopped, started after 15mins then stopped and it would not start,

Unfortunately OBD2 won't cover the sensodrive gearbox ECU which could be inhibiting the starting. The way forward for sensodrive faults is to use the lexia tool (here) to get an extend read of codes.keithusb1 wrote:have checked obd2 for fault code's and came back with p0351,0352
The lexia topic to read is here.
There is a topic lurking on here where the engine would run after releasing the fuel filler cap, but stop after a while until the fuel filler cap was released again, so this is worth a try..

sorry it's not the seno drive auto box it's a pdnr sports box for manual as well as sports setting and winter driving,
just been scratching my head and wondered would the fly wheel position senor stop the car from firing, would this show as a fault on reader.
it's a long time since I play with car engine and they are getting a little bit to complex now for me.

Have your p0351,0352 codes cleared?

Re check fuses all ok,
Check power to fuel pump ok,
Now have taken spark plugs out three are wet to light wet fourth is dry, checked power to coil by the four pin connector and one pin has just over ten volts, two think 0.6 to 0.7 and the last one had zero volts. Did rehuck them with jump cables to negative to see how they sparked think one no show the others not to brilliant spark. Is their some thing else before the coil that sends the signal to the coil

Haynes says the Engine ECU powers the coils.keithusb1 wrote:Re check fuses all ok,

You can swap plugs around to see if the lack of spark moves with the plug or stays with the coil.
Dry plug, do you have a faulty injector?

If the ECU detect a fault it stores a code. If you change parts, clear the codes and the code is set again it means the ECU has detected a fault again and stored the code.keithusb1 wrote:Going to go back to car today as it is Sat at wife's uncle's house thirty miles away, which is hard for me to keep having ago at car, if the code is still their after I changed ignition coil what would that mean.
It would indicate the part replaced has either failed again or wasn't the cause of the code being stored.
