Do you have a cam sensor fault code?

Some engines in the C3 do not have a cam sensor, but pick up the cam signal from the electronic injection system.

If you were to have a cam sensor, on early cars they are very close to the cam pulley on left as you stand at the engine bay, on very late models with the BMW type engines the cam sensors are at the right hand side of the engine as you stand looking into the engine bay.

Early C3 cam sensor looks like this
Citroen C3 Cam sensor
Citroen C3 Cam sensor
If your early engine model was originally fitted with one.

What is the code you have?

There is talk of substandard coil packs that cause error codes for the injection/timing that are available for the C3
