Battery light

Hi all hope someone can help driving home in our 07 Citroen c3 and battery light comes on so pull over pop bonnet nothing to see so stop engine wait a few mins start it up again all ok carry on driving light comes on again so stop again start car no light this kept on all the way home just had a new battery fitted so don't think that's the problem but did drive through a ford on way home so don't know if water was problem or something else can anyone help thanks

This is right, there is very little to see under the bonnet and warning lights that show up often come with no physical signs under the bonnet.

Battery light is a charge warning, so its an alternator fault.

Often batteries get changed because of a bad alternator. So the question has to be asked - why was the battery changed and was the alternator tested.

If water was a problem you usually get a squealing sound, but you didn't mention any strange sounds.
