Hi just after a bit of advice. The alternator drive belt on my c3 has snapped so need to get a replacement but after looking online there are various different lengths. So was just wondering if anyone knew the length I need for the car. I would check the old one but it snapped when the missus was driving so it's long gone. Also if anyone has a diagram of the path it takes that would be a massive help.
Thanks

Its normally due to air conditioning option, but the easiest way to get the right one is by registration number and the look-up tool here - at euro car parts.

Hi, I have an alternator belt question..

Alternator belt on a Citroen C3
This is 15.000 mile, 1,5 year old Bosch belt, do I already need to change it? Original was only one before, and lasted much longer.

They are easy enough to change and not expensive, compared with the problems if it fails.

Yours looks very worn, well over the mileage you say its done but there is a bit more life in it.

If you do change it, inspect the pulleys for seized bearings, correct tensioner adjustment (if not self adjusting) or other damage on the path that the belt runs which may be causing the belt to get so bad, so quickly.
